Conscious Cooking 8.4.16

Papaya is one of the true champions of digestive and heart health. Just the insane amount of Vitamin C in this puppy is intriguing, then add that to Vitamin E, beta-carotene and folate.

We have a volunteer papaya in the back yard, but she isn’t currently fruiting. So, we found this giant fruit at the market (about 11 inches long, woo-wee!). We added some bananas we harvested from Kurt’s father’s house, added some local honey, and of course, the special touch of coconut oil. Boun Appetito!

Breakfast. Lunch. Snack.





2 C Ripe papaya, peeled and diced into large pieces

1 Banana (frozen or fresh)

2 Tbl Conscious Coconut oil

1 Tbl Orange blossom honey

Juice from 1/2 an organic lemon

1 1/2 C of Almond or Coconut milk


Combine all ingredients in a blender, and mix til smooth.

I like to top mine with chia seeds because they remind me of a tiny version of the papaya seeds.  Enjoy!
